At F. Optimal we’re kick starting the Spring season with a market review from our very own Head of Summer Flowers, Dudi Bonomo. According to Dudi, after a quite good market period of Easter in begin of April, we unfortunately see slightly dropping of prices and quantities.
Import season for summer flowers have become less in quantity. This is because it has been too hot in Israel and Kenya has been experiencing a lot of rain. As a result of these reduced supply quantities, more space has been created for the European flowers, Dudi affirms.
“Flowers like Wax flowers, Ranunculus and Anemone from Israel are almost running out,” Dudi observes. However, he adds that flowers like LImonium Gyps and Greens for decoration are going all year.
It is important to know that the Tulips from Holland are large in quantity and are very popular now a days. They are definitely a favorite among the consumers.
The month of April is normally characterized with slow markets, but then at the end of the month and begin of May we will see more demand and better prices for the Mother’s Day holiday that will be on 13 May, Dudi concludes.
